Harvard Band tosses chrysanthemums:The Harvard University Band has a longstanding tradition to throw yellow flowers up in the air at the end of every football game. In the 1950’s, the Saturday football game was a major social activity on campus. Harvard band members would give their dates yellow chrysanthemums to wear as a status symbol that they were “with the band”. This started the tradition of the band tossing the yellow flowers at every game. Ryan’s Florist is proud to be a part of this tradition by providing these flowers.
"THE GAME" between Harvard and Yale plays out one of the biggest football rivalries since 1829.
Go Crimson! Ryan’s Florist… delivering freshness since 1915.
