The Flower Label Program (FLP) is a German certification that promotes the socially and environmentally responsible flower cultivation
The objective is to improve especially:
Labor, Social, Health and Safety Standards
Use of Pesticides and Chemicals
Environmental Protection Standards
Farms that are certified fulfill the standards of human rights and environmental protection set by the Flower Label Program as:
• Proper employment contracts and above-average social and working conditions
• Freedom of association
• Prohibition of child labor
• Health care and a secure working environment
• Responsible attitude towards natural resources and the environment
• Prohibition of highly toxic pesticides
The FLP label guarantees the consumer, flowers that have been produced in a socially responsible and environmentally friendly way.
The standards are based on the International Code of Conduct (ICC).
