The Harvard University Band has a longstanding tradition to throw yellow flowers up in the air at the end of every football game. In the 1950’s, the Saturday football game was a major social activity on campus. Harvard band members would give their dates yellow chrysanthemums to wear as a status symbol that they were “with the band”. This started the tradition of the band tossing the yellow flowers at every game. Ryan’s Florist is proud to be a part of this tradition by providing these flowers. Go Harvard! Ryan’s Florist… delivering freshness since 1915.
